2026 Wakefield Family Youth Baseball & Softball Volunteer of the Year

Nominations are officially open for the 2026 Wakefield Family Youth Baseball and Softball Volunteer of the Year Award!😊🎉

In honor of the lives and legacies of Tim and Stacy Wakefield, the Red Sox Foundation will recognize seven outstanding volunteers—one from each of the six New England states and one from a Challenger Little League—whose dedication and commitment have made a meaningful impact on their youth baseball and/or softball communities.

From coaches and umpires to league administrators and concession stand workers, volunteers of all kinds are eligible for this special award. Nominations may be submitted by anyone familiar with the nominee, including players, coaches, parents, friends, and community members.

Nominations close on Monday, July 27th, and winners be notified in mid-August. Honorees will be recognized with $1,500 stipend for their local league and celebrated with an on-field, pregame ceremony at Fenway Park on Saturday, September 12.
